HOW TO COOK SPICY SHRIMP AGLIO E OLIO
Aglio e Olio is one of my favorite pasta's menu. Aglio e olio which means "garlic and oil" is one of the simplest pasta recipes on my diner list. Here I will share the recipe and how to make it delicious.
prep: 10 mins cook: 15 mins Total: 25 mins servings: 2 portion |
2 servings of pasta (about 100-120 grams spaghetti)
3 Tbsp olive oil
1 Tbsp butter
10 to 12 pcs shrimp
4 cloves garlic (peel and roughly chopped)
2 Tbsp chili flakes
1 Tbsp dried parsley (fresh parsley would be good)
1 stem leek (cut and chopped)
sea salt (to taste)
black pepper to taste
Ingredients:
Instruction:
Bring a pot of water with 1 tbsp sea salt to a boil. Cook the spaghetti according to the "al dente" level of perfection (start timing when the water returns to a boil, cook in 8 to 12 mins). Once your pasta is ready, turn off the heat and scoop out 3 tbsp of pasta cooking water and set aside.
Remove the shells and veins from the shrimp.
Heat the pan on medium heat, add the butter cook the shrimp on both sides, and set aside.
Add olive oil to the pan on medium heat, add the garlic. Saute until the garlic turn to golden brown around 30 seconds. Add leek and chili flakes.
Add cooked pasta, parsley. Stir to coat all the ingredients evenly, season with sea salt and black pepper. Stir to combine well. Turn off the heat and serve immediately.
Note, I usually added some chopped onion, champignon mushroom and pepperoni or bacon for more delicious.
