SUNSET IN TEGAL WANGI BEACH, SOUTH OF KUTA, BALI
Sunset in Tegal Wangi Beach, South Kuta, Bali.
Talking about beach in Bali, there are plenty of places where you can find good ambiences and wonderful scenery to visit. These places are easy and free to access , we only need to pay parking fee for vehicles such as motorbikes or cars. Everybody knows that Bali island is surrounded by sea and ocean which are full of extraordinarily beautiful sunset. I have visited Tegal Wangi beach for several times. Here, I will share based on my experiences.
Where is Tegal Wangi Beach and How to get there?
Tegal Wangi Beach is located in Jimbaran next to Rock Bar Bali, South Kuta. South Kuta is better known as the hills area that
surrounded by the ocean where most of the beaches are under the cliff.I liveed in jalan Dewi Sri, Legian, Kuta Bali. It took around 26 minutes to get there by motor bike which I rented since I came to Bali. The average rental rate is around 50,000-75.000 IDR per day for regular scooter and models. Of course, you can get more expensive rate depend on the model and variation of the bike. However the most important requirement is to have an international driving license. Another option is to hire a driver to get one day trip (personalized trip) around Bali. The price is around 500,000-700,000 IDR per day and it takes 8-9 hours usually. For me, traveling with motorbike is more convenient and faster than car because sometimes the traffic is terrible there. As you can see on Google maps the beach is next to Ayana resort. To get there, just take right path before Ayana resort and follow the road until end and there you will find area for both car and motorbike. There is person to collect the parking fee when you about to leave, normally 2000 IDR for motor bike and 5000 IDR for car.
What to expect at Tegal Wangi Beach
I have visited this beach any time I have visited this beach and witness many wedding photoshoots that blend perfectly with the views of pure ocean, clean beach and stunning sunset. If you expect to surf or swim, sorry to say that it is prohibited in this place!I suggest bringing your own water and food or you can buy it in the parking site There's got store that local people called "warung" selling some local food and drink . Well, that helps local business too. Remember to keep the beach clean and bring plastic bag for your trash.
To get to the beach, you have to go down and pass through a short path of the cliff. I suggest walking to the end and there you will find the cave, rocks and natural Jacuzzi. However, it is not a recommended place to relax and enjoy the sunset because the Jacuzzi will be crashed by the waves especially when the tide is high, so isn't safe at all.
Definitely, Tegal Wangi Beach is one of my favourite sunsets spots in Bali. Let's put it up into your top list when visiting Bali. Enjoy your vacation and stay safe!
